As my term as Chair of the Houston Bar Association Construction Law Section draws to a close, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation. Serving in this esteemed role has been a tremendous honor, allowing me to contribute to the growth and success of the Construction Law Section and the legal community as a whole. Today, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to the Houston Bar Association and the Construction Law Section for their unwavering support and the incredible opportunity to serve.

A Dynamic Community:

The HBA Construction Law Section is a vibrant and dynamic community of legal professionals dedicated to advancing the practice of construction law. Throughout my term, I have had the privilege of working alongside talented attorneys and industry experts who share a common passion for excellence in construction law. The level of knowledge, expertise, and camaraderie within our section is truly exceptional.

Collaboration and Growth:

During my tenure as Chair, we focused on fostering collaboration, promoting professional growth, and providing valuable resources for our members. From informative seminars to networking events, we strived to create a supportive environment where legal professionals could learn, connect, and thrive. The engagement and active participation of our members have been the driving force behind our accomplishments, and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together.

Gratitude to Members and Mentors:

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the members of the Construction Law Section for their unwavering support, dedication, and valuable contributions. Your commitment to excellence and willingness to share your expertise has made our section a beacon of knowledge and collaboration. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from each and every one of you and to be part of such an exceptional community.

I am also indebted to my mentors, colleagues, and friends who have guided and supported me throughout my term as Chair. Your wisdom, encouragement, and unwavering belief in my abilities have been instrumental in my growth as a legal professional and leader. I am truly fortunate to have had the privilege of working alongside such exceptional individuals.

I extend my sincere appreciation to the Houston Bar Association for providing a platform that fosters professional growth, cultivates meaningful connections, and supports the success of its members. As I bid farewell to my role as Chair, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible journey I have had the privilege of experiencing. Serving the HBA Construction Law Section has been an honor and a truly rewarding experience. I am grateful for the relationships built, the knowledge gained, and the growth achieved during my term. Together, we have made a difference in the legal community, and I look forward to continued collaboration and success as we shape the future of construction law.

Francis has drafted and successfully argued countless motions and taken numerous depositions. He has also obtained successful trial verdicts for his clients, both as a first-chair and second-chair attorney.
